Services we offer
Find out more about our services
We are proud members of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA).
We pride ourselves in the way that we deliver services to bereaved family members, always trying to make it easier for them under very difficult circumstances. We are on call 24/7 and from the first phone call take the arrangements out of the family’s hands into our own. We arrange with the doctors for the paperwork, register the death at Home Affairs, arrange with the minister, organist, churches and crematorium/municipality for the cremation or funeral to take place; plus everything else that the family requires. For example press notices, flowers, hymn sheets, etc.

Paperwork and Registration of Death
Service Arrangements
We unfortunately do not manufacture tombstones and plaques, but point families in the right direction for professional help.
In cases where the death occurs due to unnatural causes, the police must first be contacted before we can get involved, but if uncertain, we are there to take the call and direct the families as to where to go to and what needs to be done first.

We market funeral policies for the underwriters African Unity Life, in conjunction with Russell & Son Funeral Directors, Queenstown for that unfortunate time when it is needed the most. You are welcome to phone our reception for a quote, or send an e-mail and we’ll reply as soon as possible.
What is needed when
Making Arrangements
Identification
ID of the deceased as well as ID, signature & left thumbprint of the informant (person who makes the arrangements on behalf of the family).
Letter for registration of death
Letter (which we will supply) signed by the informant to give us permission to act on his/her behalf. This is for the registration of the death.
Death and/or marriage certificate
If the deceased is a widow/widower please bring along a death certificate and marriage certificate of the pre deceased wife/husband (if available). In most cases the marital status at Home Affairs is incorrect and we need to have it rectified by supplying the necessary documentation to Home Affairs.
Clothes
If the family wants specific clothes for the deceased to be dressed in or if you need a specific photo for the hymn sheet or Facebook notice, please bring that along as well.
Specifics
We will lead you through the whole process, but if there is anything specifically, please let us know when coming for the arrangements.
In case of cremations, we will collect the ashes from the crematorium and it will be handed over to the family within a few days after the cremation had taken place.
We have a wide selection of coffin samples on display, but in the case of cremations, we advise people to use what we call a ‘cremation’ coffin. But that is entirely the client’s prerogative.
